Alan’s Scrap Yard – October 22, 2017

In October the Prince George Photgraphic Society went to Alan’s Scrap Yard here in Prince George. It’s not really my kind of place for insperation – still, I tried to get some shots I could use for a little abstract work.

I found out about On1’s RAW photo processor and thought I’d give a try. I decided to process these images using it and it’s filters/effects. Here are a couple images, the rest as usual are in my flickr share here https://www.flickr.com/photos/kwgagel

Likely, BC – Field Trip, Sept 27th, 2013

Friday September 27th, the Prince George Photographic Society held a joint field trip with the Caribou Camera Club to Likely BC. What a trip! Cathie Wright worked out all the details and played host to the PGPS. She did a great job of picking out places to go see and photograph – not to mention the way she was able to herd cats (US!). Here are some of my Friday pictures taken in Likely BC. The rest and more to come will be at my flickr share here http://www.flickr.com/photos/kwgagel As I get more pictures ready I’ll post more here as well.

So much to see, so much to do

I’ve been a busy little beaver of late. For the past four weeks I’ve been out with the Prince George Naturalists Club on snowshoeing trips. What a lot of fun that’s been. Each week I’ve taken my camera with me and tried using the skills I’m learning online, from book sources and the Prince George Photographic Society.

Trips I’ve been to were McMillan Creek Provincial Park, Cranbrook Greenway, Livingstone Springs and Troll Lake. Who knew that we had such and assortment of really cool places to go to!
