Barkerville (part 2)

I saved four images of the water wheel in motion and wanted to make them into a gif to show. Unfortunately though Flickr doesn’t seem to animate the gif, so I’m placing it here. I also uploaded a short video of some period actors singing “Oh my darling” which you might be interested in. It’s on Flickr here https://www.flickr.com/photos/kwgagel.

Water Wheel

Fish Trap Island Water Treatment Plant March 2014

The Prince George Photographic Society had the opportunity to visit and photograph the Prince George water treatment facility on March 6th. It’s not my usual type of subject (nature) so I had some difficulty finding inspiration in my photography. Still, I tried and I was happy with the quality of the images I took – just not inspired by them. In retrospect I can see that I’m still failing to look at subject material with a vision in mind. I must remember to apply pre-visualization to what my eyes see and try to visualize various ways to capture the same scene. In other words, I spent to much time on composure and not enough time on aperture and thinking about what would get the emphasise in the captured image.

Anyway, here are a few images, the rest are on my flickr share at http://www.flickr.com/photos/kwgagel
